The Betty Carol Graham Technology Center is  located on the campus of Central Alabama Community College in Alexander City, Lake Martin Area. Their mission is to provide well-trained students to assist with the industries technical needs as well as provide continuing education for your existing staff. CACC offers short Certificates, Associates Degrees, and Advanced Certificates in manufacturing technology with a focus on Automotive Manufacturing, as well as related programs in Electronics. 
            
           
The Betty Carol Graham Technology Center offers Welding, Robot Instruction, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Programmable Logic Controllers, LOTO/Safety, PLC, Device net, MMI, Sensors. You will work with Motors, Motor Controls, Variable frequency Drives and Servos.



Auburn University , just 30 minutes away from the Lake Martin Area has been offering engineering courses since 1872 and has a long and rich tradition of excellence in engineering education. We consistently rank in the nation's top 20 engineering programs in the number of students we graduate. Our undergraduate enrollment for fall 2005 is 2,815 and graduate 670. 

As a major presence in engineering education, you can expect excellent academic, research and outreach programs; computer and laboratory facilities that are second to none; and a world-class faculty. The
Alexander City school system provides quality education. The system is comprised of six accredited schools - three elementary, one middle, and one high school. Each school system boasts a low student to teacher ratio. A comprehensive curriculum provides for mastery of basic and advanced academic skills.

  • 2005 - Awarded District Accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) making them the 1st city school system in the state and the nation to achieve this level of accreditation.  
  • 2007 -  awarded the National Civic Star Award by the American Association of School Administrators. 
  • The Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools has recognized three of Alexander City’s Schools as CLAS Banner Schools. 
  • 2007-2008 - Engineering Academy was implemented at Benjamin Russell High School in partnership with Auburn University’s College of Engineering.
  • First system in the state to have all schools designated as demonstration sites for the nationally recognized Alabama Reading Initiative.
  • ALL core academic classrooms are 21st Century Classroom equipped with the most current and applicable technology to expand the learning opportunity for ALL students to the world stage.  

 

 


The
Alabama Technology Network of the Alabama Community College System links two-year colleges, the University of Alabama System, Auburn University and the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama together to solve the needs of the state's existing manufacturing industry. This link allows Alabama manufacturers to "make things better in their business." As Alabama's Affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Partnership, our employees are able to provide training and services that meet local needs and provide innovative and cost-effective solutions. Through ATN's resources, we put our clients in touch with our experts to provide solutions to their business needs.

ATN's 15 centers are strategically located throughout Alabama to provide local points of contact to manufacturers in need of assistance. One of those centers is located on the campus of Central Alabama Community College in the Lake Martin Area.
