Air
     Alexander City's airport is a general aviation airport named T.C. Russell Field. It is located conveniently off U.S. Highway 280. The airport is solely owned and maintained by the City of Alexander City.  Alexander City Flying Service serves as the Fixed Base Operator (FBO) for the airport.  Alexander City Flying Service offers a variety of services to include fueling operations for jet fuel and aviation fuel. In addition, Alexander City Flying Service helps crews to make rental car and hotel/motel reservations for themselves and their passengers. They can be reached at  256-500-4471 or Russell Aviation, P.O.      The airport 18/36 runway is 5417 feet long and 95 feet wide. Runway 36 is served by a partial parallel taxiway. The airport is equipped with MIRL, MITL, PAPI, VASI and an AWOS. The telephone number to reach the AWOS is 256-329-1820.
