Airports
The Lake Martin Area is located less than two hours from Birmingham International Airport in Birmingham, AL and two and half hours from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Ga. The area has a general aviation airport and is within one to one and half hours to the Montgomery Regional Airport in Montgomery, AL.
T.C. Russell Field Airport
TC Russell Field Airport is a general aviation airport located in Alexander City off of U.S. Highway 280 and adjacent to the Airport Industrial Park. The airport is solely owned and maintained by the City of Alexander City, which also owns and leases 18 t-hangars and two corporate hangars.
The airport 18/36 runway is 5,417 feet long and 95 feet wide. Runway 36 is served by a partial parallel taxiway. The airport is equipped with MIRL, MITL, PAPI, VASI and an AWOS. The telephone number to reach the AWOS is 256-329-1820.

Highway
U.S. Highway 280 is a major four-lane highway that travels through both Coosa and Tallapoosa Counties. Both of the county's industrial parks – Lake Martin Regional Industrial Park (Coosa County) and William Thweatt Industrial Park (Tallapoosa County) – are located on Highway 280. Highway 280 connects with Interstate 85 in the Auburn/Opelika metro area (40 minutes to 1 hour from the industrial parks).
The highway also connects to Interstate 20 at Birmingham and Pell City (via Highway 231) and is reachable in less than an 1 ½ hours from both industrial parks. In addition to Highway 280, Coosa County also has U.S. Highway 231. This highway connects the county with Birmingham and Montgomery.
Rail
Rail service in Tallapoosa County is provided by Norfolk Southern Corporation and is available at the William T. Thweatt Industrial Park.
